I am from a business and law background but decided to opt for a career change (after several years of working as a lawyer in the city), to follow my creative instincts and start my handmade jewellery business, Sakura Jewellery.
Inspiration: I am inspired by the way in which colour combinations can enhance our environment and sense of well-being, the way in which nature always seems to produce designs that are a perfect balance and also by my half-Japanese heritage.
Materials: I use a melting-pot of materials in my designs, from semi-precious gemstones to pearls and my own original ceramic creations. I love to create pieces that are as individual as the people who wear them.
My preferred metals are sterling silver (92.5% pure silver) and Karen Hill Tribe silver (99.9% pure silver pieces made by the Karen Hill Tribe artisans of Thailand) which is carefully sourced from a very reputable company with a strong fair trade policy as this is something I believe in strongly.
